Feb 6: IEP Workshops - Writing Effective IEP's: "The Basics and Beyond or Transition Throughout the School Years

Wake SEIC and the ECAC are pleased to bring you 2 free workshops for Parents and families with Children who have disabilities or special needs. Each session will provide time for questions and answers!

 

CHOOSE ONE!

1. Writing Effective IEPs: “The Basics and Beyond”: This workshop will discuss the components of the IEP – Individualized Education Program; how to actively participate in the development of your child’s IEP; writing measurable goals and objectives; strategies and tips for successful meetings; monitoring your child’s program and progress and more!

 

2. Transition Throughout the School Years: Transitions are a natural part of growing up. Thoughtful planning and preparation will help to make times of transition as smooth as possible. Join us and learn more about what to expect during typical transition times (preschool to Kindergarten, Elementary to Middle School, Middle to High School, etc.); how to prepare your child for transitions; how to address anticipated transitions with your child’s teacher(s) and in your child’s IEP; and strategies for smooth transitions!
