Kids 'R Active

In partnership with the PE teachers, the PTA is offering a “DDE Kids ‘R Active!” program. This is an incentive program to encourage kids to have fun while exercising daily.  All your child has to do is go outside and be physically active for at least one hour. Any physical activity counts!
Have your child fill out their home exercise log, sign it upon completion and have them turn it in to their teacher. Your child will earn a prize for each new sheet turned in. Download the Kids 'R Active Log Sheets below.

Coaches' Choice:
Mrs. Mickle and Coach W. will select a student.
The student will go on morning announcements and talk about activities he/she is doing to exercise.
 
Theme for the month of February:
Encourage a buddy to participate in the DDE Kids ' R Active program and you and your buddy will earn a coupon for a free cookie from The Great Harvest Bakery.
Remember to write your buddy's name on your sheet.
 

Estimados padres de familia:
El PTA de la escuela Davis Drive Elementary (DDE) y los maestros de educación física estan ofreciendo un nuevo programa para animar a los estudiantes a mantenerse físicamente activos. Este programa se llama “DDE Kids ‘R Active.”
Para poder participar en este programa lo unico que su hijo(a) tiene que hacer es una hora de actividad física al día. Cualquier tipo de actividad física cuenta. Los estudiantes recibiran una hoja para llenar, por favor vea la hoja adjunta a esta nota. Una vez que su hijo(a) haya completado la hoja por favor firmela y regresela a la maestra. Los estudiantes que participen en este programa recibiran un premio por cada hoja que llenen. Solo es necesario llenar una hoja al mes.
